Instead, it is a curated membership community that facilitates meaningful connections, collaboration, and opportunities among experienced professionals. We absolutely do work with brands, and help connect members to clients seeking fractional support for their businesses.

  • Yes. Community is very much core to who we are as an organization as THE BOARD is built around co-collaboration, business opportunity, collective intelligence, and peer support. Members join to access a trusted network of accomplished peers, explore opportunities, share expertise, and grow their businesses.

  • THE BOARD combines the credibility of a senior executive network with the practical value of a collaborative community collective. Members gain access to accomplished peers, strategic thinking, business opportunities, and trusted relationships that help them navigate and succeed in today’s evolving world of work.

  • Membership is by application and vetted by our team. We evaluate candidates based on professional experience, leadership background, reputation, and alignment with the community. Our goal is to maintain a highly-engaged, collaborative, and trusted network of operators across disciplines.

  • A fractional professional or executive provides high-level, specialized expertise to multiple clients on a part-time or project basis. One of the benefits of fractional work is that you can optimize your portfolio to fit your ambitions and life. For clients, hiring a fractional executive has tremendous value because they get expertise without the financial commitment of a full-time hire.

  • THE BOARD is designed for experienced operators who have built significant careers and now work independently in fractional roles or in advisory capacities. Most of our members have held senior leadership positions such as CEO, COO, CMO, CFO, Head of Brand, Creative Director, Head of Communications, General Manager, Founder, or similar executive-level roles.

  • Members come from a wide range of industries, including beauty, fashion, consumer products, health and wellness, retail, technology, media, entertainment, B2B, financial services, hospitality, and emerging growth sectors.

  • Members bring expertise across Brand Strategy, AI, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Creative Direction, Content, Growth, Product Development, Customer Experience and Insights, Innovation, and Business Strategy and Transformation.

  • THE BOARD is intentionally curated rather than built for scale. Our focus is on maintaining a highly engaged membership where meaningful relationships and collaboration can thrive. We currently have approximately 300 executive members.

  • THE BOARD provides access to a vetted community of like-minded thinkers, knowledge sharing, and collective support for fractional leaders and operators or senior executives who are seeking to evolve their careers, explore new possibilities, and work independently. Membership includes invitations to IRL members-only events in New York City and Los Angeles; a shared full calendar of in-person and virtual programming; access to THE BOARDROOM member portal with our interactive Member Directory, vetted Resources, Opportunity postings, and Event Calendar; a dedicated Slack channel; peer-to-peer collaboration opportunities; professional development and thought leadership opportunities; business development and client opportunities when available; and collective intelligence and knowledge-sharing across the community.

  • U.S. annual membership is $2,500 per year/$230 per month; International membership $1,500; $150 per month.

  • THE BOARD membership terms are annual.

  • No. THE BOARD is more aggregator than agency. We characterize our efforts in this way: 75% Community, 15% Knowledge Share, and 10% Opportunities. While Members indeed gain access to project and collaboration opportunities, client introductions, and monetizable referrals through the community, membership does not guarantee work, clients, or revenue.

  • Many opportunities originate from member relationships, client introductions, the founders network, referrals, or collective project teams assembled through THE BOARD. Opportunities vary significantly based on member expertise, market demand, and client needs.

  • THE BOARD only participates in projects or referrals that originate through THE BOARD ecosystem. Members retain complete ownership of their existing clients, relationships, and business activities outside the community.

  • Yes. Many members join while working full-time as they’re preparing to move into fractional work, and want to be part of a community. However, THE BOARD is primarily designed for fractional leaders, independent consultants, advisors and operators actively building portfolio careers.

  • A new tier launching in August 2026 for mid-career professionals with 5–10 years of experience who have mastered their lane and are ready to expand it. They’ve chosen to work on their own terms, and want a community that challenges and supports them, connections to seasoned operators who’ve been where they’re headed, and peers who are in it with them.

  • A bespoke roundtable featuring handpicked experts from THE BOARD for high-impact strategic sessions. These gatherings are designed to align vision, pressure-test core concepts, and deliver fresh, actionable solutions for your business.
