The Role
The Right Now is seeking a seasoned Director of Operations & Finance to partner with the co-founders in leading internal initiatives, optimizing backend operations, and overseeing finance functions. This leader will serve as second-in-command, ensuring operational excellence and financial stability while allowing the co-founders to focus on growth and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and financial management, including AP/AR, budgeting, planning, and expenses.

• Develop and implement efficient workflows, processes, and resource planning across the agency.

• Manage cash flow, reporting, and risk mitigation to strengthen financial health.

• Support team management, employee onboarding/offboarding, and culture initiatives (handbook, guiding principles, mission statement).

• Enhance business development efforts through streamlined operations and cross-functional alignment.

• Introduce and optimize technology platforms to improve efficiency and performance.

• Partner with co-founders as a strategic thought-partner in scaling the business.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in operations and financial management.

• Background in creative/communications industries (advertising, marketing, PR, production preferred).

• Strong track record in process optimization, resource planning, and cross-functional leadership.

• Experience managing budgets, financial planning, and reporting with an eye on profitability.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Location: New York, Los Angeles, or remote.

Commitment & Compensation

• Part-time fractional role, approximately 20–25 hours per week.

• Hybrid schedule in NYC or LA

• Compensation: 75K - 100k
